Camp-less
Probably everyone who went to church camp has something favourable to write in their blogs - I was told early Sunday morning during breakfast that the camp was one of the best ever. Had a good preview when one of the speakers shared during sunday school and morning service before the camp, and I did regret that I couldn't attend.
Well, the "cannot-make-it(to the camp)" people were "revelling" back in Singapore over excessive pasta/pizza at Pregos, followed by overdose of laughter medicine at Swissotel Lounge Court. Quite an enjoyable evening, I thought, and it was an unanimous relief that there was no CF on Saturday.
Contrasting lives at different lands. I wonder whether I will be the remaining one of the two when rapture takes place.
Faithless, I am.

It was indeed one of the more cohesive (in my own reckoning) of my limited attendances at the church camp so far. It was a fitting continuation of last year's messages where our brother Wong even left us a beautiful hymn.
Not able to be at this coming Saturday's outing and thus pardon my sharing here...
Lessons learnt -
1) In order that we may hold FAST (i.e. hold ON) and hold OUT (dual meaning behind the phrase "Hold FORTH") to the word of life, we must have the right 'thinking' which leads us to the right 'doing'.
2) The reason we are are still on this earth is to be God's testimony - i.e. ambassadors for Christ (brother Sunshine Bor also briefly touched on this in his message last Sunday). We as individuals ought to "shine like stars in the universe"(NIV) and that is not all - corporately, as a church, as the Body of Christ, we are to shine as the moon - light that comes not out of ourselves but a reflection of the glory and brilliance of the Lord who is within us (Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity! Psalm 133:1). That is a scene most beautiful.
3) Quality comes before quantity - with referal to Mega-churches sprouting all over. Problem arise if the approach is inverted.

Thanks, Lim Yong. Pretty sure we have no quantity, yet I'm hesistant to conclude we have quality as well.
